Heat Protection for Pets
Keep Your Pet Safe in the Heat
If you’re feeling the heat, your pet likely is too—and even more so!
Stick to walks, runs, or hikes early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower.
Steer clear of hot pavement that can scorch sensitive paws.
Leave your pet at home if you need to go out.
Talk to your vet to see if a summer trim or other heat-friendly care would be helpful for your pet.
Never leave a pet in the car, even in the shade or with windows cracked. Cars can overheat quickly to deadly temperatures, even when the weather isn’t severe.
Always prioritize their comfort when the temperatures climb!
